Tourism Ireland Unveils Groundbreaking 2025 Golf Campaign At PGA Show Orlando: New Updates You Must Need To Know

Friday, January 24, 2025

Tourism Ireland has officially kicked off its dynamic 2025 golf promotion campaign at the prestigious PGA Show in Orlando, Florida this week. A robust delegation of 33 top golf and tourism operators from the island of Ireland are showcasing their offerings at one of the most influential golf exhibitions in the U.S. Last year, the PGA Show attracted an impressive 30,000 golf professionals and media, making it a vital platform to promote Ireland’s world-class golfing destinations.

2025 is shaping up to be a groundbreaking year for golf tourism in Ireland, with The Open returning to the iconic Royal Portrush this summer and the Irish Open returning to the world-renowned K Club in September. Tourism Ireland is seizing these extraordinary events to turbocharge its global marketing efforts, tapping into the U.S. market and other key international regions.

Ahead of the PGA Show, Tourism Ireland hosted an exclusive and high-impact Ireland Golf Day at the luxurious Reunion Resort & Golf Club in Orlando. Sponsored by Tourism Ireland, North & West Coast Links Golf Ireland, and SWING Golf Ireland, the event provided an unparalleled opportunity to showcase Ireland’s premier golf experiences to 120 influential golf professionals and industry buyers.

On day two of the PGA Show, Tourism Ireland orchestrated a powerful panel discussion with top-tier American golf journalists. Moderated by Matt Ginella, former NBC Golf Channel host, the panel featured golf industry leaders including Gary McNeill, head professional at Royal Portrush Golf Club, Golf Digest editor-in-chief Jerry Tarde, and Irish golfing sensation Aine Donegan. The engaging conversation highlighted Ireland’s unrivaled golf courses, the highly anticipated return of The Open to Royal Portrush in July, and the exciting prospect of the 2027 Ryder Cup being hosted at the stunning Adare Manor.

Alison Metcalfe, Tourism Ireland’s Head of North America, said: “The American golf market remains a priority for Tourism Ireland in 2025 and we will continue to promote the island of Ireland as a top golf destination. We’re also taking every opportunity to highlight the fact that The Open will return to Royal Portrush in July, the Amgen Irish Open takes place at The K Club in September and that Adare Manor will host the Ryder Cup in 2027. Tourism Ireland will be pulling out all the stops once again to leverage the tourism potential of these prestigious sporting events, in the US and in our other important golf markets.

“Golf is the world’s largest sports-related travel market and Tourism Ireland, together with our partners Fáilte Ireland and Tourism NI, is working hard to drive home the message that the island of Ireland offers American golfers the complete package – with some of the very best golf in the world, stunning scenery and the warmest of welcomes.”
